Umbria Jazz Winter #16 New Year's Day 2009 (English)

A huge crowd was here in Piazza del Popolo to welcome the arrival of 2009. As the final
minutes of 2008 were counted down thousands of people came to the square to watch
the midnight fireworks filling the sky over Orvieto.
Among the toasts and fireworks ... there was time for a hug or to send a text message to family and friends.
And while the Clock Tower was ringing in the New Year, the square below began to warm up
the band Funk Off got everyone dancing once again
lighting up an icy night in Orvieto.
